error - close crossovers too extreme ??

I have searched and only 2 others have posted about this error but I couldn't find any solutions. Run this same program about 6 months ago and came to do the job again, refresh the toolpaths, no changes and this error comes up.

Tried different tolerances and smoothing along with lead in/out with no luck.

Any help would be great.

As a heads up, sorry I can not share the file.

Thanks,

Ariel

Can you tell us at least what toolpath this is happening on and how its being used?

I've never come across that error before

3d contour

12mm ballnose

machining flat vertical surface at 10deg angle

Same operation from the other side of the part works without a problem

Interesting, it sounds like a fairly straightforward toolpath, I'm not really sure what the error actually means so not sure where to look.

you could try adjusting the surface triangulation tolerance in compare and edit

In situations like this I find sometime deleting the toolpath and making a new one can fix weird errors, it is odd however that it did work originally.

I will give that a go.

That is why I tried the same tool path n the otjher side and duplicated it, but with no luck

Came in this morning, checked the jig position on  the machine, adjusted the datum to suit, regenerate the toolpaths and the issues is gone.....just like that
