Erratic vertical passes when using morphed spiral machining to finish a 3d Pocket.

I make moulds where I usually have irregular (yet maintaining at least G1 continuity) pockets that I finish with either a ball mill or a V-bit. The issue can be easily reproduced when using the morphed spiral toolpath on any 3d pocket. I've attached a couple of pictures from the same file, but this happens to any file I have given the aforementioned criteria. The first screenshot is a pocket created by extruding a closed spline profile on a rounded surface and then filleting the edges, the second is a regular circle instead of a spline. Morphed Spiral machining using 1mm ball endmill. I've also attatched the file for reference.

Found the solution so posting it for reference in case anyone faces this problem: Change the slope limits in the geometry tab. I've arbitrarily set it to 30 degrees here and it seems to work like a charm.
