Erratic Federates - How to adjust

Good day folks.

If you look at the screenshot, you will see that I am getting high federates in the lead out/in, even though I have it set to .006. How do I adjust this?

Part also attached.

Hi @jeph00 ,

What post processor are you using?  I just tried your model with a Haas and GSK post processors and both gave 0.006 feedrates.  So, I would suspect your post processor - are you able to use another processor?

No, I only have access to 1 processor. I will contact out provider, see if its something he can fix.

Access to only one processor?! What is the machine and control?

Seth,

We only have one machine is what I meant, so we use only one post processor in our shop. Machine is a mori with the MSX-850 control.

Hi @jeph00

Which post processor are you using?  Just asking the same question I'm pretty sure Seth would be asking - so hopefully getting you an answer from him sooner.

The only relevant post processor that I can find is "DMG Mori NLX Mill/Turn", and that one gives me the appropriate feedrate of 0.006.  The FANUC, APT and CELOS versions can't handle turning.  If you have a custom/machine vendor provided processor, Seth would need to know that too.

Peter,

thanks for the reply.

I found the issue elsewhere in the tool setup page. So - not sure if this is common knowledge or not - but if you look at the screenshot, the value in the Edit Tool window override the values in the Toolpath Setup. So I changed those and I got the proper results.
