Engrave Toolpath, order by step

Hello, I would like to use the Engraving toolpath to "order by Step" (each step is machined to full depth before moving on) but under multiple depths, I only see one option, maximum step down, In the Contour 2D it does have this option, am I missing something here? is it a planned feature?

For now, I'm using 2D contour but I have to modify the tool to make it work. Not ideal especially if you get the Operators saying they don't have a 0.5 mm flat endmill...

There is alot going on here, Are you wanting to use a 2D contour or Engrave? They are 2 different toolpaths meant for 2 different things. The depth on a engrave is based upon how far apart the driving lines/curves are, although you can limit the depth to take multiple passes. And engrave needs a chamfer/engraving bit. 2D Contour is just follows lines/curves and usually uses a square end mill like you are mentioning so I'm not sure which operation you are meaning to use. Perhaps attach a file that you are having trouble with. File>Export>*.f3d and attach to reply.

I don't think I am allowed to export this one I will make a Sample for this if I can't explain it well enough, But anyway.

I'm trying To engrave (with a V bit with a 0.5, flat 25deg) Using multiple depths, (i limited the depth to 0.4 under the hights Tab) if I go to 0.4 deep one time then the tool has massive wear and breaks Quickly, So I set under the Engraving tool path Multable depths > Maximum depth > 0.2. This gives me 2 step downs.

The issue is the engraving is FAR away from each other, and the engraving seems to prefer to order by depth without other options. This issue is causing a lot of "AIR TIME", for an operation, not ideal.

So my solutions for now are:

1. Use 2D Contour and select a Slot drill with 0.5 a diameter to fool the software into making a tool path. by exploding the text and following its contour.

2. Engrave each Engraving Separately, using different operations,

With these lot of selections whereas, with engraving, I select the sketch and it is done.

Both are not ideal, so I guess I'm asking for a feature for the engraving tool path,

I can make a sample if it is still difficult to understand what I'm on about.

This isn't an option with the Engrave toolpath. One option would be to break the toolpath into multiple toolpaths (which sucks, I get it) and just have it work that way. You will need to "Explode Text" for that to work, though.
