Easiest geo selection for Engraving?

Got a lot of parts with a lot of letters and words on them.

Whats the best way here? Is Window Selection ever going to be implemented into Fusion, like how HSMWorks did it?

These engravings are "cut" into the part face, about .005-0.02 deep but we engrave with a ballnose at Z-.001. I lie in fusion and say it's an engraving bit with a flat thats as large as possible to get things to cut as close to "single stroke" as possible along center.

I've tried doing Face Contours with Inside only. That will also pickup any holes in the part, and ignore the inside of things (0,8,9,6,4, etc)

I've tried projecting the entire top face, deleting my part profile and any holes. Again, Inside Only ignores some.

The closest and best thus far is using Sketch Profiles which was hidden away, but I then again have to remember to project the inside of any characters! (SIDENOTE: Is there a way I can also select Sketch Profiles for an extrude cut? This is for when we have to add the engravings on our end)

I've tried selecting each letter. This blows! It's slightly more tolerable now that the geo selections are listed, but back in the day if you misclicked ONE you'd have to start all over....

Im all ears on this one! Seems like there's some extra steps involved on something that should be able to be recognized from the model.

Easiest method I've found is to project the text to a sketch and then just select that sketch. Are you using the actual Engrave toolpath or are you using a single-stroke font and Trace?
