DS30 XY vs XC Milling

We do a lot of milling on our DS30 machines and are constantly running into issues with how Fusion posts XC or XY milling strategies. By default it seems as if Fusion will post XY moves as long as the feature being machined does not cross spindle centerline. As soon as it crosses centerline Fusion automatically post XC instead of XY. Our machines are capable of machining +/- 2.00" from centerline so we would like to to be able to machine small parts (like a 1" hex) using XY instead of XC. How do we get around this default by Fusion?

You mean crossing the spindle centerline in the X, correct?

There's a section in the post that controls this and it's visible in the Post Process UI as a Post Property. It's called "X axis minimum"

Adjust it to the largest negative value you feel comfortable using.

We intentionally set it to zero as there are some Haas controls that perform questionable actions when it dips below centerline. So, use at your own risk 🙂
