Don't See Manual NC Stop in G-code & How to get New Post Dialog to Make File Names

Got a couple  questions on Fusion for CAM work:

1.  First, I wanted to have the machine stop after a toolpath before it goes to another using the same tool.  I've never added a manual stop.  Looking online, it looks like I should add a Manual NC to my CAM setup and select 'Stop'.  I did this and post-processed the file.  I didn't see any stop between the two toolpaths.  Am I missing something here?

2. A while ago, the post-processing dialog window changed.  The previous one allowed me save the .NC file as text name.  This newer window allows you to enter a name but it only seems to save the file as the program number, e.g. 1001 or 1023, etc.  That makes it hard to remember what number program is what G-code.  I've been reverting to the older post-processing dialog but it looks like you can no longer do that(?)   With the new one, is there a way to same a .NC file with a text name.  For example, bracket.nc or adapter.nc?

What post processor are you using, as not all of them are fully integrated with the Manual NC commands.

For your second question, go to your Preferences and turn this on:

For you first one you need to select 'Optional stop' instead of 'stop' to output the code in between two toolpath.

Second one you can type the filename in the Nc program option to output the file with the filename instead of program numbers

 

Or let say you want pop-up save as dialogue for every time posting then you can change the setting in then go to your profile>preferences>manufacture then enable the box as shown below

and click apply, Now every time when you post process the nc program the saveas dialogue will pop up every time so you can change the extension or filename like you do before.

Seth, I'm using the HAAS NGC post processor as shown in the attached picture.  I'll try that option dialog box in the preferences.  Thx!

I just tried putting a filename in the spot you show and NOW it works.  I SWEAR in the past I tried that and it didn't accept my filenames!  I'll keep an eye on it.  Also, I'll try the prompt dialog checkbox as well.  That will be helpful!
