Hello,

I am trying to cnc engrave the file attached but I am getting a "Divide by Zero" Error when running it on my machine. Any Idea how to fix this?

Thanks.

What is the machine and post processor being used?
When does it alarm out, far into the program or right off the bat?

Machine is a Hendricks CNC 510. Post processor is OSAI. It will give off the error when starting to engrave the "M" of "Mckynlee"

I have an edited version of the post processor attached, which is the one I use.

To verify; this IS a Techno-CNC control, right? Or is it another make, and what prompted you to use the OSAI post processor?

Talking with one of the folks at Tech-CNC, it's suggested that you reach out to Hendricks in regards to this issue.

This issue occurs when there are movements that fall below a certain threshold, typically in the .0001 to .0003 range, mainly (but not always) in line-to-line movements. Seeing as the Engrave toolpath is essentially a whole lot of lines, it's not all too surprising I suppose.

Hendricks may be able to guide you as to what parameter you can change on your control to adjust for this alarm
