Different component origin orientations

Hi everyone,

I’m French, so please excuse my English.

I’m using Fusion 360 to prepare parts for CNC machining, and I’ve noticed that some components/assemblies do not use the same origin orientation as others.

For example, several parts share a consistent coordinate-system orientation, while others are rotated differently relative to the global assembly origin.

This is not a problem for design itself, but it becomes confusing in the Manufacture workspace, especially when creating setups and positioning parts on the CNC bed. I would like to use the same workholding/setup logic and the same machining orientation for a series of similar parts.

How to fix it ?

just joint your components together as they need to be and ignore the part origins. They have no effect on your CAM

Hi @fabrice_gusto

As @programming2C78B  already mentioned, using joints and constraints.

Maybe this example will help
