Defining parameters that can be altered in the NC file?

Let me set the stage for a moment, we have some 600 parts that need a second operation. These parts have some 0.1mm to 0.4mm differences between them, so we would like the operator to be able to check the exact difference using a caliper and enter it as the variable on the top of the NC program.

I understand that there is a Design parameters functionality that can be used for this, but I would like the CNC operator to be able to edit the value of a parameter on the top of the NC file in order to save us alot back and forth of post processing.

Is there a way in which we could define a variable that can be altered after posting the NC code for the operator to use, which would alter the position of some contours/pockets as well as the position of some holes?

Do you have probing in the machine? If so, that would be the route I'd go.

If you don't, you may be able to use a Manual NC passthrough and hand write the code in Fusion. Some posts don't like leading right off with a Manual NC though, so your mileage may vary
