Why is it that the default center drill geometry in the tool library is so out of whack?

Thanks, but i guess I should have asked how to change the default values for a new center drill. I.E. 60 deg instead of 5 deg. etc.

It drives us nuts having to change the geometry  each time we make a new tool. the default values dont even come close to the geometry of a standard center drill.

for example lathe tools have a drop down menu for the size and style of insert, how can i change my center drill to do something similar, a drop down menu for each size of center drill i.e #00 thru #8 etc. and have my geometry values come in automatically.

Check what you actually have on the shelf in the stores and then just make your own by using the "Form Tool" facility, then the tools is your Fusion Library will exactly match the tools you actually own, after that everything is in "Tablets of Stone" so you just select from your own  Centre Drill section of your Library, will always be correct that way and hassle free 🙂 🙂

Unfortunately it does require a little effort on your part, assuming you are using the new tool library which is still a "work in progress", all will be done eventually, patience is the watchword of the day 🙂 🙂 🙂

thank you sir;

 another question I have is , is there a way you can link custom tool images to the the tool file?

for instance my haas post processor supports "SHOW TOOL IMAGES" which outputs a M130 code along with the file name of the image. is there a way to preset the tool image file name, right in the tool library so when I make my tool I can say hey I want this picture.

I have found it useful when making setups using custom hand made cutting tools.

same thing for the setup sheets.

right now I'll open my setup sheet and convert it to a pdf so I can swap out the tool images and setup sheet picture.

maybe an just option to create a pdf of the setup sheet along with/ or instead of, an html page.
