Debossed \ Extruded letters on the bottom of a pocket

So I'm looking to machine a pocket that is 0.120in deep but leave 0.03in or so tall (from the bottom of the pocket) letters or a logo (dfx or svg)  I couldn't ge the dfx to press pull up to form a debossed logo so I just intered some text, which is fine, I'd like to figure out how to do that as well, in the bottom of the pocket but it seems I have not incorperated it into the body or something, I dunno, because I can't select the lettering in CAM .

I think it seemss like something simple enough but I'm missing something i guess. any help is very much appreciated!

here's the file.

Have you tried exploding the text , select it and it should give you the option , note not all text fonts that are supplied are able to be exploded therefore they will not be able to get a tool path

Well you have a few problems:

1) You've only selected the main base body as the Model in your Setup. You can select the text bodies just fine. I did it through the "feature tree" on the righthand side (you have to expand the component, as it won't let you select the entire component).

2) Your tool is HUGE. It's not going to cut any of your text the way you have it modeled. Many of the largest areas inside the text are only about .15" apart.

With an Engrave toolpath and some smaller tools this is as close as I got in the short time I played around with it:

Edit: forgot to attach the .F3D

Oh, and you can use Combine to merge all of the bodies.

In the Model workspace, open the Modify dropdown with all of your bodies selected and choose Combine. With Join selected as your Operation, and the New Component and Keep Tools options unselected, it should merge everything intoone body. From there, just drag it into Component 1:1 in the tree.

Thakn you so much, I think I probably jsut picked a random tool to see if it wouldaccept the toolpaths, I'm not sure what tool that even is that I selected. I will play around with it and let report back, thank you for the info, I appreciate it very much !!!

I'm trying to do basically the same thing, a bit more intricate design on the bottom of the pocket. I cant figure out how to rough it out with a .25 bit and then go into the tight spots between the letters etc, the tight spots, with a smaller bit. I can do the whole operation with a smaller bit and it looks like it comes out great, but it takes 55 hours, you know what I mean, because its doing it all with the small bit. I tried an adaptive strat to clear everything up to the tighter areas, that looks great, but I don't know how to get the small areas with a second op,I was thinking it should be rest machining op? I tried a trace op, it kinda works, it traces the letters but misses anything around them that needs to be hit with a smaller bit.

In the previous posts you said to combine bodies. I don't really know what that means, I mean, I followed your instructions on this part, I guess that is not applicable in this situation? It wouldn't let me combine bodies in this model, I think I only have one body, that could be why. I don't know if that would have helped in this situation, I was just going over the help I got on the last one to see if it would apply to this as its kinda similar. Thanks so much for helping me out, I really appreciate it.

This is the part I'm playing with now.
