custom profile insert form lathe

Hi,

i am currently stumbling upon a problem in fusion 360, i am an owner of a CNC lathe and i did buy cuting insert with somewhat intricate.

i did make a custom tool in my tool library, but the shape of the carbide insert in fusion 360 is more a workaround than 

the real shape of the tool. some time this give me undercut and a miss representation of the final part i will get.

does something already exist ? like creating forming tool for milling operation but for lathe ?

if not, could it be possible to make this fonctionnality hapen?

It is not currently possible to create a type of Form tool for Fusion turning tools. It's on our "to-do" list, but it's not going to be imminent.

I am having same issue with custom tool creating for turning. Cannot create tools that actually come close to the tooling I am using. Can only create round and flat, I do allot of work using .08" convex, concave and .08"x120°pointed diamond tools that I cannot replicate. Any recommendations for a work around?
