Hi All,

I'm happy to say we have some new preview tech for you all.
Please watch the Video to get a good overview of how it works.

In essence it will allow you to define diameters and distances between faces to inspect.
You can either use connected devices that will send the inspection data directly to Fusion 360, or you can type the data directly in the input field.

Once you have fully inspected your part this can then be exported as a PDF inspection report to be shipped with your parts to the customer.

We are one step closer to less paper sheets on the shop floor!

Again this is preview so please give your feedback, we see this as a solid foundation to build on, there is lots in the pipeline so watch this space and become an early adopter of integrated inspection.

@Richard.stubley

I had another go with manual inspect today, the pass/fail and text options have really opened up the possibilities.

I don't know what's on the feature road map so I though I would add some feed back

The thing we can't do yet that I would need too is take a measure between two points (vertices) on the model rather than two surfaces?

It would also be handy to be able to highlight the Pass/fail surface, like the other measures do.

The arrows seem large on small dimensions and swamp the value, so it can only be read when viewed square on.

Keep up the great work !!

Hi @ChrisDPCnc,

Again really appreciate the feedback.

The ability to select a surface and associate this to a pass fail or text item will hopefully be with you soon.

As far as selection of vertices I will get this added to our feature list we are working to.

I will also let people know about your comments about the arrows, I know they did spend a fair bit of time on this so may just need some fine tuning.

Could you add a screenshot just to help us, sometimes we jump to conclusions and get the actual issue wrong.

Hey,

Is there a way to hide all the other dimensions when using the manual inspection method.

As you can see in the picture attached, all the dimensions are displayed.

What I would like to do is to only see the dimension I am measuring.

Hi @cad03PZ32C,

I did ask for something like this a while ago, I'll add your feedback to the task.

FYI our internal reference is CAM-39957.
