Contact Point Boundary - Morph Toolpath

Guys, I am working on a simple mold and am having trouble get the Morph tool path to not roll over the edge.  I was always able to use contact point boundary to eliminate this in the past.

I have attached an example file for you to see what I am talking about.  The actual part has a 45° bend in the middle.

I have tried all sorts of things and can't quite find the right combination to eliminate those unneeded toolpaths rolling over the top edge.

Let me know what your thoughts are.......

@rmsmachine

Odd, looks OK here, I reduced the stepover and it still doesn`t go over the top and extended the "Additionat Offset" and it goes to the ends but not over the top so I am not seeing a problem. Maybe I am looking at the wrong area ???

The reason contact point boundary isn't working is you have your containment set to "Silhouette"

You need to actually select a boundary  for contact point boundary to work

Check out the attached file, I also added a blend toolpath to look at as morph doesn't do well in the steep areas, whereas blend has a consistent stepover over steep/shallow curvature

Thanks for the response and fix!!!

I have not tried it personally yet (won't be at my computer for a bit) but your picture shows what I expected when using contact point boundary.

If I have any issues, I will post them up, thanks again!!!

Well, I guess I can't get it to work 😔

Could someone take a quick look to see what I am doing wrong?  I drew a boundary like was suggested and that did not seem to work.  I tried the blend toolpath but I have never used that before and couldn't seem to get anything to generate.

It can't be that hard but I can't seem to get this darn thing figured out on my own!!!! 😠
