CNC Envgraving - smaller fonts requiring multiple passes

Hi Forum Members,

I'm struggling to figure out how to cut down my engraving time taken. Turns out that when I am engraving smaller fonts with a v-bit, it is making multiple passes on the same text. Eg. when engraving the letter "A" it will pass over 3 times each round going slightly deeper.

Any suggestions how to fix/avoid this?

Font type: DIN (single line font)
Text height: 3mm

Vbit used 3.175mm, 20deg, 0.1mm flat radius

Hi

Typically you would engrave single line fonts using the Trace toolpath, is this the toolpath you are using?

Its hard to tell from the Image what may be going on, If you could upload the file or an example file showing the behavior it will be much easier to diagnose.
