CNC cut a model aircraft from both sides

I've been made aware that tabs are not an option in 2 sided milling so how do I hold my piece in place while I machine the other side?

I see Vectric vcarve has it as an option but I just paid $1500 for a Fusion subscription and Fusion support has told me this operation is not possible.

Is there anyone willing to help me out? Don't mind paying for quality time either.

Well, it really all depends on what type of machine you have and what it`s capabilities are.

Don`t see why you can`t use the Tabs in Fusion, not too hard to program something like that, or you could just use a vise with "soft jaws" that you machine out to the Side one shape to hold the part while you machine side two.

If you have a 4th axis on your machine then hold the stock at each end and do it that way, lots of options but much easier if you can upload a file 🙂

If you have a sample file that you can upload then go to :-

File > Export > Select f3d format > Save to a location on your computer > Then attach it to your reply using the "Attactments" utility at the bottom of your reply.

Stay Safe
