Clearing stock around model - can't figure out what toolpath is best

Hey all,

Having a brain-fart moment where I can't figure out what the best approach is for removing material around the model, but not within the model itself. I know I could run a contour, but I don't just want to contour, I want to remove all the material around the model to a certain depth. When I run adaptive or pocket clearing it simply is targeting everything within the model, not the stock around it. Any help is appreciated!

2D Adaptive or 2D Pocket would be my choice, but...

Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply.
