CHAMFER MILLS AND FORM MILLS CANNOT 3D CONTOUR ANYMORE?

Last year I could cut a chamfer larger than my chamfer milling tool by using a chamfer mill in 3D contour.  I now have to lie to Fusion and use a 0.0001" Diameter Taper endmill to achieve the same thing?  I also could not use a form tool as a work around either?  Is this a bug or will I need to create Tapered endmills for all my chamfer mills?

I don't believe that 3D Contour has ever supported Chamfer Mills. I do know that it's never supported Form Tools. I think there is a ticket open to look into that, but it's a long road to solve that one..

You can use a taper cutter instead of a chamfer mill. At times I've had to have a taper mill and a chamfer mill with the same tool number so I can use 3d pocket then engrave to finish which seems crazy!

Thanks Seth.  I did run a chamfer mill in 3D Contour last year and still have the tool paths as long as I dont regenerate for that product.  I guess Taper Mills it is, although that can be tough because it uses the tiny nose radius and wont let me do negative stock to leave like a bull nose or other common tools supported by the contour operation.

Can you lock the toolpaths (right click > protect) and share the file where you do have Chamfer tools running on a 3D contour toolpath? This sounds like something got changed and I'd like to investigate further
