I don't know how these things leak into my clipboard but they are quite annoying.ltomuta_0-1702279655143.png

I can't say I've ever seen something like this, but I've raised this thread with the development team responsible for Chains.

I think I'm experiencing the same thing:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-manufacture/copy-pasting-is-bugged/m-p/12428956/highlight/...

- Time Magazine’s Person of the Year 2006
- Apple M1 Max rMBP A2485 // Latest MacOS // Latest Fusion
- Usually working off files uploaded to Fusion as: Step, STL, SLDPRT. If it matters ask me.

Your thread has also been raised in that same developer channel. No solution as of yet, but the team is aware of your issue

@seth.madore can you please check whether there has been any progress in identifying the root cause of this annoying issue?

It looks like neither of these threads ever resulted in a Jira ticket (I'm human, things get missed on occasion, and more often than I would prefer...). Could you give me some context as to when these issues arise, anything particular about your workflow (is API involved)?

All I have to do is work on CAM side. I don't know how long it takes until
it starts or if anything special is required but at some point I hit Win+V
to select something to paste and the clipboard is full of chains

I was thinking just now that if I would want to copy a chain's name into
the clipboard I would not know how to do it.

I (and others) have been trying to replicate this issue, to no avail. I know that you use the API a good deal, is it possible there is something in that workflow that could be contributing?

I also get this! It just happens from double clicking a chain to open its window.

Please click "Accept Solution" if what I wrote solved your issue!

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. I'm on Mac at the moment, I'll give it a try on PC when I get back to the shop this afternoon.

@programming2C78B seems to be right about this one. I wrote a little script to monitor the clipboard and as soon as I clicked a chain to edit it, the script was triggered.
(And no, none of my Fusion API code manipulates geometry selections.)

With this new info, I was able to reproduce the issue and I've logged CAM-58604 to investigate it
