Cant get the ramp to work.

Hello.

I'm trying to get a smooth toolpath with a profile ramp but getting four strange looking ramps and a lot of lifting the tool over the piece.

What do I do wrong.

Can you please upload the f3d file, go to File>Export>Select f3d format and save the file to your computer>then attach it to your reply..

Not possible to see from the image what has or has not been selected 🙂 🙂

It's not clear by your selections what you actually intend on doing. I "assume" that you what to machine this piece, as it's modeled. Is your Stock defined properly?

For starters, I'd change my 2D Pocket operation:

1) Select the face

2) Turn on Stock Contours

Result:

That's the piece I want to machine.

And yes the stock is defined correct I think, I did turn on stock contours but not sure what that did.

I just get a very strange toolpath.
