Can't generate a file to cut this scalloped out 2.5d form

Hi: 

I can't figure out how to select the scalloped-out area and leave the letters in this box I'm trying to make. I've tried 2d pocket and 3d pocket. I must be missing something. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply.

I've attached it thanks. I'm extruding the text up from a construction plane at the bottom of the scallop. I thought maybe I didn't go high enough, so I tried to go higher than the top of the surrounding rectangular surface and that didn't seem to make a difference. thanks again

When you created your Setup, you most likely didn't define which body you wished to cut, so Fusion took the liberty of assigning ALL the bodies to the Setup (it's built to do this, it's intentional). As such, the "scoop" was included, so there's nothing to cut. Define your Setup correctly and we can get this toolpath:

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware of that model feature in setup. I still can't get it, I either seem to exclude the scallop or get everything. Can you send me a screenshot of the cutting toolpath? Shawn

Sorry, I didn't see this notification come in. I've attached a file with the correct Setup and a Scallop toolpath that machines what I suspect you're looking for.
