Can not select open contour for 2d adaptive

I have a quick easy part to do. I made my setup as normal and selected a suitable tool template. But it seems like there may be a bug after the last update? I can't select the open contour. When I click on it nothing happens, Like wise when I click on the arrow. I am about to uninstall and reinstall fusion I don't know what else to do. I did have a few notifications that fusion had not updated successfully but those messages are now gone. I have rebooted the pc etc.

Uninstall and reinstall will likely not do anything to help. Could you share your file?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

I guess selecting the edge of the scallop is creating a closed profile with no space (projecting the closed edge). If you enable the sketch of the cutting circle and select that with stock contour enable but nothing selected I get this.

It looks like we need to create a Sketch, project the Body onto it and then select that sketch. I'm not certain this is a bug, I'd have been surprised if it had worked with your original selection..

You're going to want to do this for all your 2D Adaptive/Pocket operations, otherwise it will try to mill inside the part (as is the case currently):

Also here is a screen cast. It may be a problem with my work flow or set up. But I have made many parts this way so I am kinda thinking this is a bug as that is the only thing that has changed. I am no F 360 power user but this also isn't my 1st week. I also now have the error flag about spindle speed and can't seem to find that parameter to update in my saved machine profile. Again this was not an issue post update. Help would be much appreciated as this has ruined the beginning of my work week in my small shop and now backing up production.

I can do that to get by but that was not the case in the past. Here is an f3d of a similar part with the same feature. I did not try changing the contour selection because I don't want to compromise my cam on a production part. But I did this probably a few years ago and it worked as expected. I believe there is still something else at play here. I appreciate your time and assistance.

The second part is not the same. Because it has 2 flats at the ends it doesn't create a closed profile.
