Calling Richard Stubley....Using 3D Gage Arm via "Machine Connector Application"

Dear Richard,

I'm using a 3D gage arm (Romer Infinite 2.0) in F360 as a reverse engineering tool. This is made capable using a plug-in purchased from ReverseEngineering.com.

I'd really like to use the arm for part inspections (final), using the Inspect/Probe functions. It seems like this could be possible through the "Machine Connector Application". I can connect to my computer using a USB cable or through WIFI.

Is this inspection capability in the works? Is there some way I can be of service to make this available to others?

Hi @Bill_Chicago,

This isn't the first request we have had for this. We even did some real early prototype work but it never went anywhere.

The short answer is no we don't have any functionality in Fusion that allows a measurement arm to capture measurement data from a component.

Great to hear you are using it to reverse engineer components!
