CAD To CAM

I am very new to Fusion 360 and I am older so this is taking me some time. I created a sketch and then went through the CAM setup and various screens. When I went to the Post section, I cannot select my machine from the list, Tormach PathPilot. The cursor skips right over it. It allows me to go to other postprocessors but not the Tormach PathPilot. Am I doing something wrong or have I not completed a step?

Thanks.

Can you export your file as an f3d and attach to this thread. What you describe sounds odd I've never had that happen, are you using a PC or mac?

This sounds like the issue with out-of-control scrolling in the post processor list on a Mac, which has been reported in other posts.

If so, this problem will be addressed in an update in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, if you use your own post library, with only the post(s) that you need in it, you should be able to work around this issue.

This would likely involve being able to find the post processor file on your disk, and copying it into the folder for the personal library.

We can help you through that here if you get stuck.

Jeff,

I think you are correct. I am using a MacBook Pro. I tried to sketch up a simple part and machine a slot in it as an example. I went to the CAM and again, in the post, the mouse went wild and never would land on the Tormach/PathPilot post.

Can someone please guide me though setting up my personal post?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure where the generic posts are stored on a mac, try a search on the forum.

The personal posts are stored here.

When I go to the folders indicated, there is a nc folder but nothing is in it. As well the other folders have no material in them. What am I missing?

Thanks.

The folders listed are where you store your personal post, if you haven't put any post in them they will be empty. You need to do a search of this form to find the generic posts folder, there have be quite a few posts on the subject. Or you could search your computer if you know the name of the post but I think the generic folder is hidden on a mac so you'll need to enable searches of hidden folders.
