Broken detail in basic chamfer contour run.

You know those days we are in a rush to get something done and then something weird that we have never seen happens? This was one of those days. Posting here to ask what I have done wrong please.

The very last line in the file attached is a perfect example. This part is super important. And like all important parts also needs to look nice. I run a chamfer around all of my bored out holes only to have the tool run approx 70% around the contour, lift, drop back down to chamfer the remaining 30% (or sometimes 3 times for the same contour). Final result is relatively the same - well unless I put a microscope on the final job I guess it is. But a massive waste of time.

Super weird and I thought hit this here instead of just blindly trying different ideas until it goes away. Anyone know how to stop this erratic toolpath?

Thanks in advance

Super quick "workaround" for now, try using the Chamfer option in the 2D Contour toolpath 🙂

Dropping the tolerance to 0.05mm also works, not sure why that makes a difference!
