Blend Strategy : Can't select proper Drive Curves

Hi All,

I'm trying to use the Blend machining strategy to machine the fillet that connects curved surfaces, with a D10 Ball End Mill.

So I first selected the 3 surfaces that make up the fillet for Drive Surfaces, then upper limit of the fillet as a first Drive Curve.

Then the problem arises when I try to select the lower limit of the fillet, as an open curve : I can select the first segment OK, but when I try to click on the 2nd segment,  Fusion always select a bunch of segments, either the 4 segments that surround the 2nd face of the fillet, or segments that go around the fillet and come back at the start of the 1st segment (see picture)

Am I doing something wrong ? Is this a known problem ?

Thank you for your help and advice.

Hi

How can we check this without the file?

You can create a new file that mimics the problem. The problem is the design issue, not the file itself.

OK, so here is a portion of the original part that shows the same problem :

I'm unable to make a proper selection of the 2nd Drive curve

The problem is caused by a small break in the chain.

Failure to identify this break creates a gap, which causes the program to automatically fill in the entire chain.

Got it, thank you.

As it is the 1st time I'm using this Blend Strategy, I did not think about using zooming to check the continuity of the profile.

Thank you for your help !
