Blend has no lead in and crashes tool

This may be my settings, or maybe a gremlin in the new (preview) blend tool, but my tool path is calculated with no lead in radius.  The tool just rapids down into the stock.  A lead out radius is generated.   See pictures below and attached file.

Never used this tool until tonight but I think it should have a lead in?  Can anyone think of a workaround as otherwise it generated a perfect tool path.

[I've amended the following as I was inadvertently using some preview features that are not generally available yet, which meant I was seeing different results. Sorry.]

Hello @ashes.man. I was able to get a better result by lowering the Bottom Height, setting an Offset of -2*stepover. That was sufficient to get a pass that is not truncated. We are working to improve how the Top and Bottom height are handled in Blend, but in the meantime it's worth adjusting these if you see any passes are clipped. The sloping tangent direction at the end of the clipped pass made it difficult to add the lead.

(If you have access to the Machining Extension, another option in such cases is to trim the ends of the passes. Sometimes that gives enough room to add the tangential lead.)

Hope this helps.

Workaround that may help, have you thought of doing it from the top down ? After your Face the Blend would be starting in clear air with leadin and as all material should have been removed at the end of the toolpath it might be OK, see image below 🙂

Thanks, I did lower the bottom height and it came right.  It looks like the tool needed to go lower to do all its passes.  Thanks for the help.
