I too cannot open your file. If I had to wager? It looks like you may not be using lead-in/out moves on your finish pass, but rather, just plunging in and out on location. If your Z axis is flexing at all (assuming a small "hobby grade" machine), this would present the issue you are seeing.

hey Seth, thanks for the response. I guess I deleted my work in fusion after I created the code. maybe I should start saving those files so I can return back if the machining doesn't work out. my z axis is pretty solid. I do run a small hobbyist machine but ive been really diligent about getting it set up and keeping it tight. do you know if there's a place I can retrieve my fusion file that had the manufacture phase completed? all I have now is my output code. thanks so much for your time.  jonny

hey there. thanks for the quick response. it looks like ill have to make the file again as once I created the code the manufacture aspect of my file was gone. I thought it would have saved but in the left hand pane of fusion its just the original step file that I imported to fusion with none of the work I did to it in fusion IE no setups or other orders. thanks so much for your time and have a great day.   jonny

Okay, I think it may be coming from your tabs. I suggest a couple of things:

1) Change to Triangular, so it will be a Ramp move instead of a plunge move

2) Reduce the height (they are at .0625", you might be able to get away with smaller values)

3) Increase the width of them, thus reducing the angle at which the ramp occurs (making it a more gentle ramp motion)

Never toss anything (unless it's rubbish you are 100000% certain you will not reuse or need to access at a later date. There's essentially no storage limitation for native Fusion files (well, I'd imagine someone could bump into it at some point if there were uploading complete (and detailed) full scale models of every aircraft, ship or building in existence)
