Best Practices using Stock From preceding setup with Continue Rest Machining? This has been hit & miss for me

Stock from preceding setup has been one of the greatest additions to F360 for me.  However, seems like 1/2 the time I get:

"Cannot verify that the stock is transferred from the previous setup for rest machining.

Verify that the model selections in both setups are the same."

Is there a tutorial or overview or even a list of ways this warning is triggered?

I have tried logically selecting the same model selections as the previous setup as well as just duplicating the previous setup in order to get the exact same models (& selections if that matters).  Usually, I just ignore the fantastic display of yellow triangles that follows but it would be nice to know what I'm doing wrong.

If there are multiple Bodies, this warning will be generated. If you select a Body in one Setup and then a Component in the next, this error will also be generated.

Can you share a file that is producing these warnings?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

File has been received. The issue is that you're using multiple bodies. Stock From Preceding Setup is only intended for one Body. There is an exception to that when you have a duplicate Component:
Component_1:1

Component_1:2

Yeah....I asked the devs about this last week, hoping to see some movement on multiple bodies being selected. There are no current plans to expand the functionality, unfortunately 😞

Hopefully it will evolve to allow multiple bodies with no warnings...I'm guessing that it might have been ok without the patches in there....had to do it though.

Is there a way to suppress this particular warning from showing up on every single tool path in the setup then? Makes for a hairy situation if you believe that's the only warning but another one is hiding amongst the fray.

One thing I do when importing a Solidworks model of say a Fabrication I will be machining I will combine all the bodies into one so I don't get the error.

I will select create new component and keep tools so the original bodies are preserved

Or a similar way is to use boundary fill to achieve the same results
