Bambu Lab X1 Carbon in the Machine Library within Setup

Might it be time to list some of the Bambu Lab 3D printers in the Fusion library Setup section?

Some of these printers have made a distinct impression in the market and have been well received. I would like to have some of the presets already properly set so that I might use Fusion in a more integrated way.

Any idea on how far in the future the A1 would be added... ballpark?

@mgriffin2 ,

I would guess over the next couple of releases - depends on how busy the postprocessor team are!

Good news! The Bambu Lab printers are now available for all users in Fusion!

Please note, initially, these printers have been supported without the AMS functionality. Hence, only the material loaded into material slot 'A' will be used for the print.

We are already working on supporting the AMS functionality and supporting the A1 printers.

Happy printing!

Hi, I can see the X1E machine but not the post for it. Do I need to search somewhere other than the Fusion library for it? Thanks

Hi @simon_johnson16 ,

The post is there! We have one "Bambu Lab" post for all the Bambu Lab printers.
The post is automatically selected when you select a Bambu Lab printer in your setup.

Here it is in the post library - you can see in description that the X1E is listed among the printers it supports:

Are you guys serious?  Rotation doesn't work.  Only 2 layer height options for PLA?  A bug where a ghost model appears and can't be turned off?  You tested this?  You announced support for the most popular 3d printers 3 years after their main-stream adoption?  Why bother?  Are you guys serious about this product or what?  You guys are getting passed up by turtles!  Unreal!

Hi @s21Q9J8A ,

I'm sorry that you have had issues using Fusion and I'm happy to look into the issues you've mentioned.

Regarding "rotation doesn't work", could you expand on this and whether this is in the manufacture workspace of a general issue in Fusion? Is this happening when you try rotate bodies/components?

Also, could you clarify what you mean by "only 2 layer heights for PLA"?  We aim to provide default settings for each material that users can then tailor specifically to their printer. The defaults work well, and we have gotten some great printing results with the "PLA - High speed" settings on the Bambu Lab printers.

With regards to the ghost model issue you mentioned, could you provide an image of what you're seeing?

Yes we're very serious about Fusion, and are working hard to make it as good as it can possibly be in all areas!

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

It's not my job to do QA for you guys, Tom.  Get with the program or get replaced.  Shape up or queue up solidworks.

You guys don't need to reinvent the wheel or the slicer.  Slicers are all open source.  Do the needful and get us some integration.  Jesus H, you guys can't even make it so multiple parts of an assembly export without 5000 clicks.  Let's see some meaningful results at a decent pace.  And test it with people that actually use the software.

has anything been done to integrate bambu lab X1 Carbon to the manufacturing with additive?

The solution to do it through 3d print is showing to have measurement inconsistencies.

@eclarkmx7APB you can currently use X1 Carbon 3D printer in the manufacturing environment. Create a setup and choose the machine in the machine library. You can generate suopports and export Gcode file to print on the printer.
