Are these the most ideal toolpaths for my model?

I'm still quite the newb to this and I'm having issues programming multiple toolpaths for my projects.

I'm trying to carve out a Mario Star for my nephew with my X-Carve. What would seem like a simple enough project and design is turning into a headache.

-I started off with 2D Pocket for the eyes

-Then an Adaptive clearing around the stock

-then a Parallel pass to smooth the rounded edges

-Then i had issues with the 2D Contour due to my rest machining tab being checked and I don't know why. I just unchecked it and it was able to create a tool path. but it's cutting air for half the process.

When I simulate it it leaves some rough spots and doesn't smooth out the offsets. I've attached a public link to see if anyone can help me out. It would be much appreciated!

Hi, looks pretty good, I have only made a couple of small adjustments to the start and end heights of two of your toolpaths, the 3D adaptive doesn`t need to go right to the bottom as far as I can tell and the final contour can start at a lower height so it isn`t going round and round in air till it gets down to the level of the adaptive cut.

Try out the attached file, might be of some use to you 🙂
