A-axis contour

Hey. I'm trying to do a profile wrapped around a cylinder in the A-axis. Although I can generate a tool path, the y and z seem to move. This doesn't make any sense to me. Shouldn't the Y and Z remain constant and only the X and rotatio of the A-axis change? I've tried multi axis swarf, rotary contour but the profile always posts with tool moving up or down on the Z. Many hours now trying to solve this. No luck on youtube or any previous posts here. Is the problem in how I've drawn the contour then wrapped it around the cylinder?
