4th axis A axis post processor Siemens 828D

I see there are a few similar questions around this point but I am still struggling with getting a 4th axis working

For me the first thing was to cancel CYCLE800 that the XYZ LR1000 didnt like, which was easy with the check boxes on the pre post screen.

After that. TRAORI appeared.
Again the machine didn’t like it so I unchecked the TCP box in the machine kinematics area under the A axis

After that FGROUP (X, Y, Z, A) and FGREF[A] appears in the post. Which again the machine didn’t like.

Ive also altered the definemachine portion of the post to suit a previous question that was asked in the forum all to no avail.

I think the machine just needs gcode G0 moves.

Does anyone have a working post for a Siemens 828D control with a GSA 4th axis, or any other advice and ideas I could try to get this working please.

Thanks in advance

My answers are typically not correct but I can try to recommend some strategies and hopefully not be too far off.

First, I assume you are setting your WCS at the center of rotation, either A/C or B/C. That would be a requirement if you aren't going to use CYCLE800 or TRAORI as those require kinematic calculations to be performed by the machine. Is that the case?

Next, how about just leaving TCP checked and manually commenting out the TRAORI call to test if the positioning seems correct.
