3D Finishing toolpath not touching surface

Hi

First let me tell you I appreciate the work you guys at Autodesk are doing. Fusion 360 has been awesome so far, except for this one part 🙂

I am slowly getting around 3D finishing toolpasses as mostly do 2D at home. I wanted to try and make this simple mold and this problem bites me as it did before. When using a 3D finishing strategy (contour, ramp, scallop, parallel) on some male and female radii, when approaching the flat top or bottom the tool hovers further and further away from the radius and never completely removes material.

I have tried making passes just for this radius, not mixing with the rest, and the result is always the same.

On this example I get the problem on the female mold but not on the male mold.

I tried ticking the "touch surface" option with no success (turns it into a blank toolpath).

I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions  ?

Thanks a lot

This toolpath here on the first two screenshots is parallel, the third screenshot on a different model is a ramp. Again, the problem is always there with other strategies.

Tool finally touching the surface as gets deeper in the contour :

Other body in the same file, this one is a male mold and does okay :

Can you File>Export>*.f3d and attach your actual file? There is no way to tell what is wrong from some pictures.
