Hi there,

even though i activated the "both directions"- option, only millings in the same z-level are milled in both directions. Is there a possibility to force that option independend what level it's working in?

Thanks,

Steven

Hi @blue983
It's an interesting idea, but unfortunately this is not how the feature of both-ways machining was designed: Both-ways machining changes direction in subsequent passes on the same z level to reduce air cutting, but on each z level the first cut and cutting direction are decided independently of the previous z level. However I can see a limited usefulness to consider the direction of the last cut of a previous z level.

I believe we still have the "Idea Board" where you could submit this suggection.

Sorry I cannot help in this case.

Martin
