3D Adaptive Clear removing Entire Stock

I'm learning to use Fusion to create MDF molds for Vacuum forming, so I'm making a bunch of sloped shapes. What is the correct feature to use to program this? Adaptive clear seems to make sense, but it wants to remove all of the stock not part of the parts.

I have avoided this issue by making a 'virtual' stock body that is a few mm larger than my part on all sides, and then cutting out of an actual larger block of MDF. Is this how I should continue doing it, or is there a way to avoid creating custom shaped stock bodies?

It's likely down to selections. Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply.

I assume you want to profile out the silhouette of the part and then use Adaptive for the shaped surfaces?

Yeah, Ideally it would shaped the tapered surfaces and fillets only, and in the process finish off the profile. As is, it's spending the vast majority of it's time turning perfectly good MDF nowhere near the parts back into the dust it was made from 😞

Set your boundary to the part silhouette, set to center of selection, and an addition offset of 1x your tool diameter.
