3D Adaptive wont recognize stock to my selected bottom height. just stops in at a random spot. if i change my stock definition to silhouette it will correct it.

The way "Bottom Height " works now has changed a bit. Are you using Stock to Leave to control the behavior? Would you be able to share your Fusion file here?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d/.f3z file in your reply.

I found out if you flip the x axis in the setup  it generates just fine.

Well that's absurd, let me get a ticket logged...

-EDIT-

I've logged CAM-57892 to investigate the matter. I also found that a suitable toolpath can be created by changing to "Silhouette from Setup Stock" for your Rest Machining setting.
