3D Adaptive: Adjusting safe distance for minimum retraction?

The popup for Retraction Policy states for minimum retraction: "Moves straight up to the lowest height where the tool clears the workpiece, plus any specified safe distance."

The safe distance looks OK in the preview. Still I would like to know:

Where can I adjust the safe distance?

+1. Did you ever resolve this? As I also need to adjust the Safe Distance.

It appears there is no safe distance for 3D Adaptive, the tool tip is the same as for other 3d toolpaths which DO have a safe distance parameter like 3D Contour etc.

I haven't use Fusion in ages, and I'm not sure if I ever resolved this.

No, there is no "Safe Distance", only the built in 2mm** that exists "behind the scenes"

**that's going off of memory, but I may be confusing it with the internal 2mm value that also exists in 2D Adaptive

Apologies @seth.madore looks like the magic number I'm having issue with is called safe height. Must be a different thing.

Oh, that's a combination of your Height settings. If you share your part or a screenshot of your Heights tab, we can guide you further

I was able to brute force a workaround by reducing the Axial Stock to Leave and instead increasing the Bottom Height.
I started another Topic "3D Adaptive: Lowering Safe Height" if you have any suggestions. https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-manufacture/3d-adaptive-lowering-safe-height/m-p/11794758
