2D Pocket: Unable to select the pocket I need to mill

I want to mill this pocket highlighted in blue:

But when selecting it it highlights the exact opposite of what I want. No red arrow I can reverse:

Used to have no issue:

But I made these straight walls:

Have a 1 degree angle:

By creating a sketch and extruding/cutting into the model. And that's all it took to confuse the 2D Pocket operation.

It looks like the Pocket issue is due to the corner radii on the exit end of the pocket. We turn those into sharp corners and everything is as it should be:

Yep, your method does and will work. You've selected it as an open chain, it would be good to select it as a Face Selection and get a similar toolpath, such as what's shown in my reply above.

(oh, and welcome back, your presence has been missed!)
