2d contour pocket milling

Hello,

Hoping i can get some help with this.

I'm pocketing out the areas around the attached disk. the tool-path worked, however, on the last pass or two, it cut into the model in between the pockets. I didn't want this cutting at all because this was cut the the right size in a previous operation. how can I keep the tool away from the model in between the pockets, or for example, completely pocket one, then lift the tool up and drop into the next pocket? should I be using a different tool-path selection?

choosing the 2d pocket tool-path gives the following error:

Error: (ensureCutRadius > 0) and (ensureCutRadius <= cutterRadius)

What need to be changed here?

Thanks

Josh

You would need to post the model to work out what is wrongTo attach a file Go to File -> Export and save as a .F3D Archive File and attach it to your next post, if you can not post the file you can PM it to me or say in your next post you can not post the file and one of the Guys that do NDA work will help.

@scastrophotography what was your solution, should anyone else encounter the same issue?

I essentially milled one pocket completely before moving to the next, and lifted the tool between pockets.

This also involved changing my stock contours selection from the default stock boundary, to the current model boundary. Hope that helps.
