I'm trying to machine a part with internal corners using a 2D Contour toolpath, but the tool goes straight into the corners, resulting in a sudden load on the tool (a classic CAM issue). Ideally I'd like to set a minimum cutting radius, mill as much as I can with a large tool, and then finish the corners with a smaller end mill using rest machining. This link suggests that 2D Contour had a Minimum Cutting Radius setting at some point, but it seems to be gone. Anyone know why? Is there something similar to replace it? Feed Optimization seems like a decent alternative, but I would trust a minimum cutting radius and Fusion's toolpath algorithms over my guess at which feed rate to use going into a corner.
Thanks,
Owen
