2D Contour milling Angle and extending the depth ?

Is there a option to extend the depth when it comes to milling a angle using 2d contour, so the tool goes past the depth of the selected contour. (  Image 2  )

I found I could create a plane on the angle face, select the bottom contour edge then offset, then select this new contour that is offset deeper. but these seems a long work around and thinking is there a simple option.  ( Image 1 )

The method you use is mostly what the option is. You don't "need" to make a surface, a simple sketch line would suffice, provided it's located properly. Using "Bottom Height Offset" will cause the toolpath to gouge, so you'd have to play around with the "Stock to Leave" to suit.

understood, I had to create the plane so I could offset it correctly in the right direction otherwise I would need to create a sketch line like I did but have to move it outwards and also downwards the same amount.

thanks for the response, I was hoping it would be a simple tick box similar to when you offset a chamfer tool downwards so the tips below the contour edge

You could use parallel since you are using a bull nose end mill and get more control, plus you could use both ways to keep the tool down and save time.
