2D Contour Leaving Under Cuts/Gouges In Part.

Good evening folks!  I am stumped on the issue I am currently having at this moment.  I am getting these small gouge marks on my parts on the front and in the back.  I have had this issue ever since I started to try and machine these.  See the picture below for further detail.

What I have done to try and correct this issue is first I have checked my backlash and its around .0003".  I have left additional stock on the part and add a semi roughing operation.  My thinking was that my aggressive roughing was leaving these marks.  This isnt the case.  How I have troubleshot and came to the conclusion that this is caused by the 2D Contour operation.  I posted each operation and ran the individually, taking pictures in between.  The picture below will be of the roughing operation.  This is done at 137 ipm, full DOC, .075 WOC, and at 7650 rpm.  The tool is a Lakeshore Carbide .5" 3 flute endmill.

IMG_1562.JPGAs you can see the undercut/gouge mark isnt there.  I ran my semi finishing operation next.   This was done at 68 ipm, full DOC, .02 WOC, and at 7650 RPM.  The tool used was a Lakeshore Carbide .25" 3 flute endmill.  See the below picture.

Lastly, I ran my finishing operation, 2D Contour, at 22.95 ipm, full DOC, .01 WOC, and at 7650 RPM.  The gouge marks now show up.  I have re-selected the contour lines and still have the same end result.  I plan on someday selling these parts so sharing the file is out of the question.  If an admin has any other way for me to get the file to them I will be willing to listen.

Thanks!

BTW these marks arent created with lead in or lead outs.  I have no issues there.

Are all toolpaths starting and stopping from the same area? You mention not seeing them on other toolpaths...

Are you using a Lead-out overlap?

What machine are you using, how rigid is it?

Can you share the file, or the NC code?

The lead in and out does have the overlap turned on, but doesn’t start in any of the two areas of concern.  I’ll add the nc file for that operation in a little while.

All tool parts start in different areas.
