I'd like to see the ability to set the Lifecycle of a part during creation. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem easily possible with scripting.
My workflow involves creating new designs weekly. Almost always these parts go straight into "In Design", but when the part is new, the state is "Unreleased" - I need to create an ECO to change the Lifecycle state. I'd prefer to keep my Change Order workspace clean with actual changes.
I think this could be done through the import tool, but it's over-kill for singular parts.
