Global Views

we should be able to configure a global Default view for a workspace so when a new user is added they have whatever we decide the initial view should be. currently the PLM default view doesn't not match what I would rather a New Viewer to see. I like that we can configure our own views, but I'd really like it if we as admins can dictate what the initial view is.

This should be base functionality that when an Administrator creates a standard view for a Workspace that Admin has the ability to make that the default view.  In a large organization is trying to Administer a Workspace its unrealistic to expect every individual user to make a duplicate version of the default or even specialized views.  Autodesk, please address this ASAP.

maybe this could be a "Public View" much like a public report or a shared report.

I agree but would like to expand it so that Default views could be created for specific users.

Example:

A user who works in Customer Service might have a different default view from a user working in Engineering. It would be nice if you could assign a default view to a group.

Top 3! Accept please! Most if not all of our customers have asked for this feature. Without this, many of our customer do not create custom views and receive less value from our implementations.

@gasevsm@dvirhCurious if this has enough votes to get on the roadmap? I can envision the system admin role having a checkbox visible that says "Make Tenant Default".

Yes, this really needs to be addressed. It is unreasonable to have to send out an email to all of the users with screenshots saying "Now configure your items and boms view like this with all these different filters." My previous PLM system did this without issues. This issue alone is hamstringing the capabilities. Global custom views are needed to ensure everyone is on the same page and interpreting the data the same way. Please implement quickly.
