I have just spent hours trying to save a simple Thingiverse mesh design to a STL file. I am forced to use Export since Save As is grayed out on my computer. During this Export process, Fusion is modifying the file by changing the unit of measure from mm to inches and then growing the size of the project by a factor of 10 while Exporting to a STL (yes, a 2.4 inch project, about 63mm within Fusion turns into a 24 inch project in the STL file). In searching the web, it appears that Autodesk is blocking paying users from using Save As if they use their own computers to store personal design information.
In addition Fusion is not able to find a mesh defect that Cura is highlighting, and trying to fix a mesh that Fusion thinks is good is highly problematic.
How do I get Export as a STL file to not modify project parameters such as the size of the project and measurement & dimensional constraints so I end up with a usable end product STL?
Please advise...
