Run Script after editing Grid

Run Script after editing Grid

Hi Everyone.

It would be really nice if it is possible to run a script after editing the grid tab (see Attachments).

There are many things you could do with that like a better version of Project planning with phases or every other Workspaces that wants to get the entries like time in the grid combined to the details tab.

Today it also works but you have to use a additional action (demand script).

This is very dangerous because you can forget it.

There are 2 old Topics that get the Status "Archived". The Idea is in my opinion really good and get in one Topic a "Future Consideration". The old topics get "Archived" because of the old UI. But in the modern UI it's not solved.

I think this could also be expanded to include running scripts for when any tab changes. At minimum it could be the on-edit script, but having individual scripts for when each tab changes would be nice.

This idea should be getting more love.

Would be a huge improvement to be able to automate information in grids.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I asked for this for a couple of years. I'm guessing that technically it's a lot more difficult than we (I) assume. If it wasn't, then I feel the PLM team would have implemented it already. But when it does happen... oh the possibilities. 😎
