In the current system linked picklists and views can be configured with multiple filters with AND operator only. This is causing the customers to rely on other tools (reports instead of views) which have support for advanced filtering criteria. But, in case of linked picklists there is no workaround other than creating new fields and accumulating the results in a script. Which is really painful and cumbersome.
So, I believe that introducing advanced filtering criteria on views and linked picklists would overcome the limitations on both, which would allow the customers to better utilize those tools.
