HELP WITH IMPORT BOM TOOL

Hello,

I was able to load a large amount of BOM's using the part child BOM Import tool.

All BOM's are were loaded in a working state, how do i get them to show up as a release production state?

See part number 2011-1-011-0594 working version and production version.

Thank you,

Andrea Leon

Andrea,

When you import a BOM you can specify the following properties:

Under "Lifecycle Properties"

  • Revision
  • Release Date
  • Lifecycle State

This will create the released revisions of the BOM.

Thanks,

Tony

...yes the three fields Tony outlined are required. Optionally, can set Effectivity Date, in case want to set different effectivity for the released revision being imported. HTH,

The ability to import historical revisions is included only with imports of types 'Level BOM' and 'Item Details'. It is not supported with imports of type 'Parent Child BOM' due to various reasons. It is hard for me to tell from the image if that is the type of import you are using but if it is, then you will not see these options. If you use one of the supported import type you will see the following selection at the bottom of the drop down mapping list:
